Brewers Win

The Brewers beat the Phillies 8-5 last night, snapping a six game skid.  Jonathan Lucroy went 5×5 and hit a pair of home runs to pace the Crew. Yovani Gallardo gave up 5 runs and 6 hits in five and two-thirds innings to pick up the win.  K-Rod picked up the save.   The series continues this afternoon.  Coverage begins at 2:30pm on KFIZ.

 

Bucks Hire Drew

The Milwaukee Bucks have hired Larry Drew as their new head coach.  Drew had a 128-102 record as the head coach of the Atlanta Hawks over the last three years and advanced to the 2nd round of the NBA Playoffs is 2011.

 

Game 6 of NBA Finals

It’s Game 6 of the NBA Finals tonight as Indiana hosts Miami.  The NBA has suspended the Heat’s Chris Andersen for tonight’s game because of a flagrant foul he committed in Game 5. 

 

NHL Playoffs

The Eastern and Western Conference Finals start tonight.  In the East the Penguins host the Bruins and out West, the Blackhawks host the Kings.

 

State Tennis

After winning his first match at the State Tennis Meet in Madison on Friday, Fond du Lac senior Kyle Dunn dropped his state quarterfinal match to #1 seed Felix Corwin 6-3, 6-2.  Dunn will play Matt Lynch of Marquette High School in the 5th place bracket this morning at 8:30am.

WIAA Boys and Girls Track Meet

St. Mary’s Springs senior Darin Ward medaled with a 6th place finish in the triple-jump.  The Ledgers qualified for 9 finals that will take place today.   The Fond du Lac boys only top 10 finisher on Friday was sophomore Peter Andrew’s 9th place finish in the shot put.
