The Brewers earned the 50th win of the season in fashion last night as Ryan Braun hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to give the Brewers the 3 to 2 victory.  Braun only saw one pitch and drove the baseball right back up the middle and singled home Mark Reynolds who was on third base.  This was Braun’s first walk-off hit in 3 years.  The Brewers are the first team in the MLB to win 50 games this season as they are now multiple games above 500. However, St. Louis is only 5 and a half games back.  Matt Garza heads to the mound for the Brewers as they continue there series with the Rockies.  Coverage begins at 2:35 and you can here that game right here on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

They are 14 games back from the Brewers.  The Pirates beat the Mets 3 to 2.  They are 8 games back.   The Cardinals beat the Dodgers 3 to 1 and as I mentioned earlier, they are only 5.5 games back.  And finally the Reds beat the Giants 6 to 2.  They are 7 and a half games back from the Brewers.
