The Brewers shined last night behind Wily Peralta as they beat the Reds 2 to 0.  Peralta tossed 8 scoreless innings and even batted in 2 runs off a RBI double.  Peralta had it going as he struck out the Reds 7 times and only surrendered 3 hits.  The Brewers and Reds continue their series on tonight.  Coverage begins at 5:35pm with the first pitch at 6:10pm.  And as always, you can here that game right here on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

With the NBA playoffs in full swing, it keeps getting more and more exciting. The trailblazers won there series over the rockets with a 99-98 buzzer beater victory.  Damian Lillard hit a 3 pointer with .9 seconds left in the game to send Portland to the second round of the playoffs.  The Nets beat the raptors 97-83 last night to force a game 7 in the first round series.  Deron Williams has 23 points and 5 rebounds in the winning effort for the Nets.  Former Milwaukee Buck Monta Ellis rallied the Dallas Mavericks late to a victory over the Spurs 113-111.  Ellis had 29 points and 2 rebounds for the Mavericks.  With the series tied at 3 games a piece, the Mavericks also forced a game 7 to decide who advances. 

The Rangers beat the Penguins 3 to 2 in overtime last night in the NHL playoffs.  Derrick Brassard had the winning goal for the rangers.  The next game will be Sunday at 6:30.  The Blackhawks beat the Wild 5 to 2 last night.  Bryan Bicknell and Patrick Kane each had 2 goals for the Blackhawks in the victory.  The next game will be Sunday at 2:00. 

Ted Thompson stated yesterday the Packers defense is in need of good, consistent play at safety.  They will look to improve that area of play in the draft on May 8th.  The draft, which has been pushed back 2 weeks this year, is considered to be one of the most talented with-in the past decade.  With the addition of Julius Peppers, the re-signing of Sam Shields, and the predictable acquirement of a safety, the packers should have what they need and want to make another super bowl run.  

In college baseball, Marian had a double header against Lakeland.  Marian took the first game 10 to 0. Senior LHP Sam Forkert tossed a 1-hitter, and striked out 10 in the complete game victory.  In the second game Marian beat Lakeland again 9 to 5.  Sophomore Cole Miklavcic went 5-for-6 with 4 RBIs as Marian pounded out 14 hits.

Fond du Lac boys golf had a dual meet last night at Rolling meadows against Neenah.  Fondy came up short however as Neenah shot a 156 and fondy shot a 164.
