Kenseth Penalty Reduced

NASCAR reduced a penalty on Matt Kenseth’s Gibbs racing team for having an illegal part in his engine during a win at Kansas last month.  Kenseth’s crew argued that the Toyota was at fault and not his racing team.  An appeals panel agreed and cut his sanctions including taking just 12 points rather than 50 Chase Points away.  That moves him from 11th to 4th in the standings.
