The Fond du Lac Cardinal

with a 42-14 win over Wisconsin Rapids on Friday night at Fruth Field.  After falling behind 7-0, the Cardinals
ripped off 35 straight points to take a 35-7 lead into the half time locker
room.  Fondy senior Justin Maratik ran
for three touchdowns to tie Jacob Brault for Fond du Lac’s all-time scoring record of 278
career points.  Maratik also passed
Brault to become the school’s all-time leading rusher. Senior QB Quinn Woelfel
had a 58 yard touchdown run and also tossed a 15 yard TD pass to junior Devon
Krzanowski.    Fondy senior Ryan Collien
also had a spectacular 59 yard punt return for a touchdown in the 2nd
quarter.  The Cardinals (8-0-7-0) will
look for an unbeaten season next Friday night when they travel to Marshfield. You’ll hear it
on KFIZ. The league title is the team’s 1st since 2002.
