Boys High School Basketball:


St. Mary’s Springs 78, North Fond du Lac 63.

--Blake Ottery scored 17 points to lead St. Mary’s Springs, Dawson Wodsedalek had 25 for NFDL.


Ripon 69, Laconia 51.

--Jaylen Mahone scores 15 points, Drew Gunnink 12, Reed Gunnink 10 for Laconia.

High School Wrestling:


North Fond du Lac/St. Mary’s Springs finished 4th out of 16 teams at the Dirk Sorensen Door County Classic. Andrew Forsythe (132 pounds) and Austin Hernandez were both champions. Zach Choate finished 2nd, Dakota Maas and Marcus Orlandoni finished 3rd.


Laconia goes 3-2 at its home invitational with wins over Edgerton, Onalaska Luther and Plymouth, losses to Ripon and Chilton/Hilbert. Zach Coffeen (170), Caleb Hopp (182/195) and Alec Potter (138) all go 5-0.


Mayville takes third place (245.5 points) and Oakfield takes 6th (76.5) at the Oakfield Invite.


Boys Swimming:


Fond du Lac finished 8th at the Bob White Invitational hosted by Wauwatosa West with 123 team points. Andrew Park medaled in the 200 & 500 Free and Cannon Lock medaled in the 100 Fly & 100 breaststroke.


Men’s College Basketball:

Wisconsin 61, Rutgers 54 (OT)

--Ethan Happ scored a career-high 32 points and carried the Badgers to an overtime win over Rutgers at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Wisconsin shot just 20 percent from the floor (5-25) in the first half and 33 percent for the game, but was able to escape the Scarlet Knights to improve to 7-1 in the Big Ten and remain tied with Maryland atop the league. Wisconsin plays at Illinois on Tuesday.
