Girls Basketball:

WIAA Regional Finals

Division 3:

Waupun 54, Lomira 42

--Waupun advances to the sectional semifinals on Thursday at Beaver Dam against either Columbus or North Fond du Lac. Columbus and NFDL will play their regional final game on Monday.

Division 4:

St. Mary’s Springs 58, Oshkosh Lourdes 56

--Anja Smith scored 23 points, including the go-ahead layup with 8 seconds left as the Ledgers knocked off the top-seeded Knights on their home court. Emily Mueller added 13 for Springs in the win.

Howards Grove 50, Laconia 47

--Caitlyn Tipton led the Spartans with 27 points in the loss.

St. Mary’s Springs will face Howards Grove in a Division 4 Sectional Semifinal game at West Bend Thursday at 7pm.

Boys Basketball:


Winnebago Lutheran 75, Laconia 62

--Eric Schmitz scored 21 points, Noah Lorenz 19 and Zach Wright 12 for WLA. Laconia was led by Drew Gunnink with 20 points, Jaylen Mahone scored 19.

Men’s College Basketball:

WIAC (Tournament Championship Game)

UW-River Falls 60, UW-Oshkosh 59

--River Falls earns the WIAC’s automatic bid to the D3 NCAA Tournament.

Big Ten:

Michigan 82, Purdue 70

Iowa 83, Maryland 69

Minnesota 81, Penn State 71

Indiana 63, Northwestern 62

Big East:

Providence 73, Marquette 69

Men’s College Hockey:

Adrian 2, Marian 1

Women’s College Hockey:

--Sabres are eliminated from the Slaats Cup Playoffs with the loss.
