Favre was the final speaker of the night and spoke without a script, talking for 36 and a half minutes to wrap up the night. Favre said that it became his goal to reach the Hall of Fame to acknowledge the influence his father had on his life. Favre said to "never discount the importance of being a father, and the statements you make. Whether you think your kids hear ... You're very important to your children. The lesson is: We come and go very quickly. So love them each and every day.". Favre also added that he had “no regrets” when it came to his career and that he will “always be remembered as a Packer”.
