An emotional speech from former Packers quarterback Brett Favre highlighted the enshrinement ceremonies at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio Saturday night. Favre was the final speaker of the night and spoke without a script, talking for 36 and a half minutes to wrap up the night. Favre talked at length about his family, and fought back tears when mentioning his late father Irvin and his influence on his career. Favre said that it became his goal to reach the Hall of Fame to acknowledge the influence his father had on his life. Favre said to "never discount the importance of being a father, and the statements you make. Whether you think your kids hear ... You're very important to your children. The lesson is: We come and go very quickly. So love them each and every day.". Favre also added that he had “no regrets” when it came to his career and that he will “always be remembered as a Packer”.
