Packers Advance

The Green Bay Packers shut down Adrian Peterson and beat the Minnesota Vikings 24-10 in NFC Wild Card matchup on Saturday night at Lambeau Field.  After being gashed for over 400 yards by Peterson in the two regular season meetings, Green Bay held him to just 99 yards on the night.  The Minnesota Vikings were forced to start backup QB Joe Webb after starter Christian Ponder was a scratch with an elbow injury.  Minnesota took the opening kickoff and marched down the field to take a 3-0 lead.  After that it was all Packers.  DuJuan Harris ran for a nine yard score, Mason Crosby kicked a 20 yard field goal and then John Kuhn ran for a TD, and caught another as Green Bay built a 24-3 lead.  Aaron Rodgers threw for 274 yards and a touchdown in the win.  Harris rushed for 47 yards and also caught five passes for 53 yards.  With his first TD on the night, Kuhn became the only player in the NFL to score a touchdown in the last four post-seasons. Clay Matthews also tallied a pair of sacks and Sam Shields got an interception in the win.  Green Bay will now travel to San Francisco next Saturday night for a Divisional Playoff game.  You’ll hear all the action on KFIZ.  Coverage begins at 5pm with the kickoff set for 7pm.
