The Brewers beat the Phillies 4-3 on Saturday afternoon. Jonathan Lucroy hit his 6th homer of the year and Wily Peralta gave up 2 runs in 7 innings worth of work to notch the win.  Francisco Rodriguez picked up another save.  The series wraps up this afternoon.  Coverage begins at Noon on  News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

Ledger Boys Win D3 Track Title…Girls 2nd

The St. Mary’s Springs boys won the WIAA Division Three Track & Field Championship in LaCrosse on Saturday and the girls finished 2nd.  The Ledgers boys were paced by Darin Ward who won the 110 meter hurdles and was 2nd in the long jump.  Ryan Grandlic was also 2nd in the 400m and Sam Schrauth picked up third in the shot.  For the girls the 4×800 meter relay team of Bohn, Busse, Schmitz, and Schneider took first and set a state record. Grebe, Hock, McGovern, and Schneider also took 2nd in the 4×100.


Dunn Takes 5th At State Tennis

Fond du Lac Senior Kyle Dunn defeated Green Bay Southwest’s Nick Allen (2-6, 6-4, 6-1) to take 5th place at the WIAA Boys Tennis Tournament in Madison. His season ends with a 23-2 record.
