The
St. Mary’s Springs girls basketball team is heading back to the Division Four
State Tournament in
Green Bay
after a 56-34 win over Whitefish Bay Dominican on Saturday afternoon at
Hartland Arrowhead.  Kelli Schrauth had
18 and Liz Bohn 15 in the win.  The
Ledger will face defending champ
Cuba City in the State Semifinals at the Resch Center
on Thursday night at 6:30pm.  You’ll hear
it on KFIZ.  The playoffs are presented
by Taco Bell.



 

The
Waupun girls basketball team saw their run in the WIAA Division Three
Tournament come to an end on Saturday afternoon with a 53-42 loss to Kettle
Moraine Lutheran at West Allis Central.  The Warriors season ends at
20-6.  KML (19-6) will face Whitewater (26-0) in a Division Three State
Semifinal in 
Green Bayon
Friday morning at 9:05am.  

 

The
St. Mary’s Springs boys rolled by Oshkosh Lourdes 59-44 in the Division Four
Boys Regional Final on Saturday night. 
The Ledger were led by Cory Nies and Brennen Ottery with 15 points
each.  St. Mary’s Springs is set to face
Howards Grove in a D4 Sectional Semifinal on Thursday night at Sheboygan North
at 7pm.  That game might get moved to
either Wednesday or Friday as its at the same time as the Ledger girls state
semifinal.   You’ll hear the game on KFIZ

ESPN is reporting that the Green Bay Packers have agreed to a four-year, $40 million dollar contract with Randall Cobb.

 

The Bucks pulled to within one game in the
loss column of the 5th playoff seed in the Eastern Conference after
a 91-85 win over Washington at BMO Harris
Bradley Center
.  Khris Middleton hit five three pointers and
scored 30 points.  The Bucks host New Orleans on Monday

The UW-Green Bay
men’s basketball team moved into Tuesday night’s Horizon League Tournament
Championship Game with a 70-56 win over Illinois-Chicago.  Kiefer Sykes led the way with 30 points.

 

Marquette snapped a six game losing streak with a
58-48 win over DePaul on Saturday at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.  Matt Carlino scored 20 for the Golden Eagles.

 

The Badger men’s basketball team wraps up
their regular season this afternoon at Ohio State.
Coverage begins at 2:30pm with the tip at 3:30pm on KFIZ.

 

The Rangers handed the
Brewers their 3rd straight Cactus League loss 5-4 on Saturday.  Hector Gomez hit a 2 run homer and drove in
three for Milwaukee.  The Crew plays the Dodgers today.
