Packers In Primetime

The Packers are in Houston for a primetime matchup with the Texans tonight.  WR Greg Jennings is already listed as OUT for the game with a groin injury.  TE’s Jerimichael Finley and DJ Williams will also be game time decisions.  Finley has shoulder injury while Williams hurt his hamstring this week.  DT BJ Raji will also be a game time decision as he recovers from an ankle injury.  Coverage begins at 5pm on KFIZ.


Packers Roster Move

The Packers moved guard Greg Van Roten from the practice squad to the active roster for tonight.  He fills the roster spot that was vacated when Cedric Benson went on IR.



With the Packers playing tonight, we’ll have another NFL game on KFIZ this afternoon as the Lions battle the Eagles. Coverage begins at 11:30am with the kickoff at noon.


Badgers Win…Ball Big Day

The Wisconsin Badgers blew out Purdue 38-14 on Saturday in West Lafayette.  Montee Ball ran for a career high 247 yards and 3 TDs in the win. Ball now has 72 career touchdowns, which sets the Big Ten career mark.  He passed fellow Badgers Ron Dayne. The NCAA record for career TDs is 79.  Wisconsin will host Minnesota next Saturday at 11am.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ. Coverage begins at 9am.



The Detroit Tigers won Game 1 of the American League Championship Series 6-4 over the New York Yankees.  Yankees star Derek Jeter broke his ankle in the game and will be lost for the postseason.  Game 2 of the series is today.  Game 1 one of the NLCS is tonight as the Giants host St. Louis.


Bucks Win
The Bucks beat Detroit 108-91 in a preseason game on Monday in Milwaukee.  Ersan Ilyasova led the way with 22 points.  Brandon Jennings had 17


High School Girls Volleyball

Waupun won four matches to finish first at the EWC mini-tourmanet. They beat Plymouth, Shebogan Falls, New Holstein, and Kewaskum.  Waupun wins the EWC with a 14-0 mark.   New Holstein went 2-2.  They beat Two Rivers and Kiel and lost to Waupun and Campbellsport. 


Cross Country

Two Rivers hosted the 34th annual EWC Conference Cross Country Meet Saturday.  The Waupun boys and Two Rivers girls were conference champs. Andrew Klapper of Waupun was the individual conference champion. Carly Terp from Two Rivers was the individual conference champion for the girls.
