Waupun & WLA Cross Country Head To State
The Waupun and Winnebago Lutheran Boys Cross Country Teams finished 1st and 2nd at the Division Two Ripon Sectional on Saturday to earn a trip to the State Finals in Wisconsin Rapids. WLA’s Mitchell Bilitz won the event with a time of 16 minutes, 21 seconds.
Vikings Soccer Back To State
The WLA boys soccer team punched their ticket to the WIAA State Tournament with a 2-1 win over Green Bay NEW Lutheran on Friday night at the Fondy Soccer Complex in the Division Three Sectional Final. Aaron Markgraf scored both WLA goals on penalty kicks. The game winner came with just a few minutes left in the contest. The Vikings will play LaCrosse Aquinas in a Division Three State Semifinal at 9am on Friday morning. Oostburg also beat Central Wisconsin Christian 6-0 in a D3 Sectional Final.

Fond du Lac’s boys volleyball team went 3-0 at the TROCAT Invite in Green Bay on Saturday. Fondy beat Green Bay West/Southwest, Green Bay Preble/East, and Neenah at the event. With the wins the Cardinals set record improves to 51-23 on the season.
Badger Keep the Axe
James White ran for 173 yards and 3 TDs and Montee Ball rushed for 166 yards and 2 TDs as Wisconsin rolled by Minnesota 38-14 to win Paul Bunyan’s Axe for the 9th straight time. The win improves the Badgers to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in Big Ten play. They host Michigan State next Saturday at Camp Randall. Coverage begins at 12:30pm with the kickoff set for 2:30pm on KFIZ
UW-Oshkosh Beats Whitewater
The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh football defeated three-time defending NCAA DIII champion UW-Whitewater 28-13 on Saturday and put themselves in position to win their first conference title since 1976. Oshkosh improves to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the league. A conference record crowd of 12,318 watched the game in Whitewater.
Packers At Rams
The Packers are in St. Louis this morning to take on the Rams. They will be without LB Nick Perry, CB Sam Shields, WR Greg Jennings and DT BJ Raji because of injury. Coverage begins at 10am with kickoff set for Noon on KFIZ.
