High School Football: 

Flyway Conference: 

St. Mary’s Springs 20, Winnebago Lutheran 3. 

–Blake Bauer ran for three touchdowns in the second half as the Ledgers rallied from a 3-0 halftime deficit to win 20-3 over Winnebago Lutheran on Saturday afternoon at Viking Field. With the win, the Ledgers improve to 4-0 in the Flyway and 7-0 overall and are now eligible for the playoffs. St. Mary’s Springs plays at Laconia next Friday, while WLA travels to Mayville. 

Great Eight South (8 Man); 

Oakfield 8, North Shore Country Day (IL) 6. 

Boys Soccer: 

NFDL/Oakfield/St. Mary’s Springs/Laconia United competed in the Denmark Invitational on Saturday. United finished in 3rd place with a 2-0-1 record. United defeated Peshtigo 1-0, tied Clintonville 2-2 and defeated Random Lake 1-0 in the 3rd place game. 

Central Wisconsin Christian competed in the Gresham Tournament and repeated as champions. The Crusaders defeated Wisconsin Valley Christian 3-0 in the semifinals and Gresham/Bowler 4-0 in the championship. 

Girls Swimming: 

Fond du Lac finished 4th at their home invitational. Kristilee McCadden and the 400 meter relay take 1st place. 400 meter relay also breaks a school record. 

College Football: 

Big Ten

Michigan 14, Wisconsin 7

–The Badgers held their own with the #4 Wolverines in Ann Arbor, falling 14-7 to Michigan in a game between top 10 teams. Down 7-0 at halftime, Wisconsin tied the game with 8:03 left in the 3rd Quarter on a 17 yard touchdown pass from Alex Hornibrook to Dare Ogunbowale. Michigan took the lead for good on a 46 yard touchdown from Quarterback Wilton Speight to Amara Darboh with 7:56 left in the game. Hornibrook went 9 of 25 for 88 yards, 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions. Corey Clement led the Badgers with 68 yards rushing. Rob Wheelwright had 46 yards receiving for the Badgers. Wisconsin is off next Saturday and hosts Ohio State on October 15th.

Baseball: 

Chris Carter hit his 41st home run of the year in the top of the 10th inning to push the Brewers past the Rockies 4-3 on Saturday night. The Brewers play the final game of the 2016 season today, pregame at 1:35 on KFIZ.
