waived/injured WR Larry Pinkard and LB Jermauria Rasco. Additionally, DE Letroy
Guion and DE Datone Jones were placed on the reserve/suspended list. The
transactions were announced Saturday by Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President,
General Manager and Director of Football Operations.

 

#3 Alabama
spoiled Paul Chryst’s debut as Badgers head coach with a 35-17 win in Dallas on Saturday
night.  Derrick Henry rushed for 147
yards and 3 touchdowns to lead the Crimson Tide.   Corey Clement ran for just 16 yards for
UW.  Joel Stave was solid at quarterback,
completing 26 of 39 passes for 228 yards, and 2 TDs and 1 Int. Wisconsin will host Miami,
(OH) next Saturday at Camp
Randall
.  That’s an 11am kickoff on KFIZ.

 

The Brewers swept a double
header from the Reds on Saturday, winning 8-6 and 7-3.  The series wraps up today. Coverage begins at
11:35am on KFIZ.    

 

OSHKOSH, Wis. Marian University women’s golf completed the first round of
the UW-Oshkosh Invitational, held at the Oshkosh Country Club, in 8th place
after shooting a team score of 389 (+97). Freshman Tayler Wise led
the Sabres in the first round with an 84 (+11) to put her in a tie for seventh
place.  Marian also has three players in the top-40 in senior Sara Van
Handel, 36th with a 99, along with freshman Kayla Bowen and sophomore Taylor
Lockhart who each shot a 103 (+30) putting them each in a tie for 40th.
Junior Nicole Paulus rounded out the
scoring for MU after shooting a 116 (+43). Marian concludes the
UW-Oshkosh Invite with the second round today.

 

JANESVILLE, Wis. The Marian
University
men’s golf
team entered day two of the Culver’s Edgewood College Fall Invitational in
sixth place but finish the event in 13th after shooting a second round score of
323 for a total team score of 627. Junior Ryonen Faris shot a 75
(+4) to lead the Sabres in round two.  Faris along with junior Travis
Heyroth would finish the event in a 27th place tie after shooting two-day
totals of 153 (+11). Junior Brandon Wolff followed with a 159
(+17) to finish in 55th.  Senior Tyler McLaughlin and junior Zach Gutzman
rounded out the scoring for the Sabres with a 165 (+23) and 170 (+28),
respectively. After a tough first round, freshman Jake Howie was
able to bounce back shooting an 86 (+15) and finished the event with a 182 (+40)

 

LAKE
FOREST, Ill. – The Marian University women’s volleyball team (0-5, 0-0 NACC)
concluded the Forester Invitational but were swept by Greenville College
(25-23, 25-20, 25-18) and Lake Forest College (25-21, 25-23, 25-14)
