High School Softball:

Boys Golf:

Waupun wins the East Central Conference Golf Meet, shooting a 320 as a team. The Warriors place five strokes ahead of Plymouth who finished in second. Campbellsport placed 6th with a 377, Ripon 8th with a 496.

Waupun’s Tucker Lemmenes earned medalist honors, shooting a 76. Teammates Blake Harmsen and Brendan Mock finished in a tie for second, each shot a 78. Campbellsport’s Trey Birschbach finished in a tie for 17th with an 88.

Central Wisconsin Christian wins the North Division of the Trailways Conference Tournament with a 373. Oakfield places 6th with a 494.

Chilton wins the Eastern Wisconsin Conference Championship held at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms in Sheboygan Falls. The Tigers shot a 339 to place ahead of second place Sheboygan Falls who scored a 347. New Holstein placed 6th with a 388.

Chilton’s Alex Brandt placed 1st individually, shooting a four-over par 76. Teammates Coulton Brickl and Cameron Owens tied for fourth place, each shooting an 85. All three, Brandt, Owens and Brickl were named first-team all conference. Brandt was named the EWC Golfer of the Year and Chilton coach Kelly Moehn was named EWC Coach of the Year in her first season as head coach.

–An RBI single for Jett Bandy in the top of the ninth broke a 1-1 tie and helped the Brewers to a win in San Diego. Travis Shaw went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI at the plate, and Brewers starter Matt Garza went six innings, allowing a run on four hits. The Brewers try to clinch the series with a win this afternoon, pregame coverage starts at 2:05 on KFIZ.
