Girls Golf:

WIAA Division One Regionals (Host: Oshkosh North):

Fond du Lac finished in sixth place as a team at Regionals played at Westhaven Golf Course in Oshkosh. The Cardinals fired a 401 as a team. Kaukauna won the regional with a team score of a 334. Oshkosh West, Sheboygan North/South and Kewaskum/Campbellsport all advance to sectionals as well. Fondy freshman Shefali Bhatt qualified for sectionals as an individual, placing seventh overall with an 88. Margaret Krolczyk was the next-highest Cardinal, tying for 18th with a 100. Alyssa Dreher of Kewaskum/Campbellsport finished in a tie for 12th with a 93

–The Sabres score seven second half goals in the win.

Cincinnati 6, Milwaukee 0

–Joey Votto went 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBI as the Reds shutout the Brewers at Miller Park Wednesday night. Cincinnati pushed five runs across in the 3rd inning to take the lead for good in the win. The Brewers managed just four hits in the loss, all of them coming off of Reds starter Homer Bailey, who threw seven shutout innings. The final game of the series is this afternoon, Brent Suter starts for Milwaukee against Sal Romano for Cincinnati. First pitch is 3:10 pm.

Chicago Cubs 5, St. Louis 1

–The Cubs clinch the NL Central Division Title, their second consecutive division crown

Colorado 15, Miami 9

–The Brewers are now 2 & ½ games out of the second wild card spot in the National League.

American League:

Chicago White Sox 6, LA Angels 4 (10 Innings)

Cleveland 4, Minnesota 2

–With the Angels loss to Chicago, the Twins clinch the second American League Wild Card spot, one year after winning just 59 games. They become the first team who has lost at least 100 games, then make the postseason the following year.

Packers and Bears tonight at Lambeau Field for Thursday Night Football: For full coverage of the game tonight, tune to 107.1 WFON (107.1 The Bull). Pregame coverage begins at 5pm, with kickoff around 7:20.
