inning lifted the Brewers to a 9-4 win over the Philadelphia Phillies on
Wednesday night.  Carlos Gomez and Mark
Reynolds both went keep as Tyler Thornburg picked up the win in relief of Matt
Garza.  The Brewers look for their 6th
straight win and a series sweep tonight as Marco Estrada takes on Cliff
Lee.  Coverage begins at 5:30pm on
News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.  The first pitch is

The Indiana Pacers sat all
five starters last night but still beat the Bucks 104-102 at BMO Harris Bradley Center.  Brandon Knight led the way with 25
points.  Jeff Adrian chipped in 13 points
and 17 rebounds.

 

The Masters kicks off today
at Augusta National.  20-year-old Jordan
Niebrugge of Mequon
will get to tee it up today.  He
qualified for The Masters by winning the U.S. Public Links Amateur
Championship.  Steve Stricker will tee
off just before 8am this morning.  Ryan
Moore won the Par 3 Tournament on Wednesday.

The UW-Milwaukee men’s
basketball team has been banned from post season play in 2015 after failing to
meet NCAA academic standards.  The
Panthers wont be eligible to play in the Horizon League Tournament or the NCAA
Tournament.  This year’s champion UConn missed
the 2013 post season for the same reason.

 

Terri Mitchell is out at Marquettes head women’s
basketball coach at 18 seasons.

 

The Packers preseason
schedule has been released.  They will
play at Tennessee
in Week between August 7th and 10th.  In Week 2, they head to St. Louis between August 14th and 17th.  On Friday, August 22nd they host Oakland at 7pm and on Thursday, August 28th
they host Kansas City.
