Herb Kohl, Milwaukee Bucks President and Owner, announced that he has entered into a signed purchase agreement to transfer ownership of the Bucks to Wesley Edens and Marc Lasry on Wednesday.  Mr. Edens and Mr. Lasry are highly regarded investors who are firmly committed to the success of the franchise and its importance to Milwaukee. Furthermore, consistent with his commitment to the Bucks and Milwaukee, Senator Kohl has pledged a $100 million gift for the development of a new arena for the team.  In addition to honoring Kohl’s requirement that the team be kept in Milwaukee, the new owners have committed to contribute at least an additional $100 million towards the development of a new arena in the city.

On the court the Bucks lost their season final to Atlanta 111-103. Milwaukee ends the year with an NBA worst 15-67 record.

The Brewers avoided the sweep on Wednesday afternoon with a 5-1 over St. Louis at Miller Park.  Aramis Ramirez went 3x4 with an RBI in the win.  Jonathan Lucroy drove in a pair as well.  Wily Peralta improved to 2-0 on the year by giving up just 1 run and six hits in six and a third innings of work.  Milwaukee will open up a four game weekend series in Pittsburgh on Thursday night.  Coverage begins at 5:30pm on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

WIAA members voted to send a proposal to add a 1.65 multiplier to private schools enrollment for playoff placement to a committee on Wednesday morning.  If approved it would have bumped most private schools up a division in the postseason.  The vote was 352-77 in favor of sending the proposal to committee for further study.  The delay will means that any change to the current system will not happen until after the 2014-2015 season.  The WIAA members also voted down a proposal to take conference affiliation out of the hands of the WIAA and back to the individual schools

Ryan Boelk’s single to right in the bottom of the 7th lifted WLA’s baseball team to a 5-4 victory over Kettle Moraine Lutheran on Wednesday night.  Boelk’s hit finished off at 2-run rally in the final frame.  WLA had led 2-0 before KML exploded for four runs in the 5th inning. Lucas Muche doubled, tripled, and scored two runs in the win for WLA who is 2-0 on the season.  Boelk picked up the win in relief of Muche.
