The Cleveland Indians
completed the quick two game series sweep of the Brewers with a 6-2 win on
Wednesday night. Jimmy Nelson gave up 5
runs and four hits in just three and a third innings of work. He also walked 8 batters. Khris Davis hit his 17th homer of
the season in the loss.

Detroit Tigers ace Justin
Verlander just missed his 3rd career no-hitter on Wednesday night in
a 5-0 win over the Angels. Verlander had
his no hit bid broken up when Chris Iannetta laced a double down the left field
line to lead off the 9th. The
righty settles for a one hitter. Just
five pitchers have thrown three career no hitters.
The Packers will take today
off from training camp practice as they get ready for their Lambeau Field debut
on Saturday night against Philadelphia. Saturday
night’s game kicks off at 7pm on KFIZ. The
Packers last practice open to the public during training camp is Monday at
11:45am.

school football games this weekend on KFIZ.
On Friday night, it’s Hall of Fame Night as
opener. That game kicks off at 7pm. If you show up at Fruth on Friday between 5pm
and 6:30pm you will receive free admission. On Saturday, St. Mary’s Springs, ranked #1 in
D6, hosts Amherst, ranked #1 in Division 5 at Fruth Field. That game kicks off at 1pm.
