Badger Blowout
Bo Ryan’s Badgers pounded Northwestern 69-41 in Evanston on Wednesday.  Ben Brust and Jared Berggren each had 12.  UW is 19-8 overall and 10-4 in Big Ten play.  That’s good for 3rd place in the league.  Bucky hosts Nebraska on Tuesday.

Hard Luck Loss
The Bucks blew a 15 point 2nd half lead and fell to the Brooklyn Nets 97-94 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Wednesday night.  Monta Ellis was fouled shooting a three pointer with just over 1 second left and he missed all three attempts. Brandon Jennings had 31 points as Milwaukee has lost 6 of their last 7 games.  The trading deadline is at 2pm this afternoon and the Bucks could be making a deal or two.  Rumors have Milwaukee possibly trading for Atlanta’s Josh Smith.

 

Daytona 500
Danica Patrick is on the pole and Jeff Gordon is on the outside of row one for this weekend’s Daytona 500.  The rest of the field will be set tonight as they run the Budweiser Duel.

 

Fondy Hockey
The Fond du Lac boys hockey team faces Homestead at Hartland on Friday night in a Sectional Final.  Coverage begins at 6:35pm with the Backyard Grill Pregame Show.  The puck drops at 7pm.  The winner advances to the state quarterfinals next Thursday in Madison.

Fondy Boys Hoops To K107.1-Fm
With the Fondy boys hockey team advancing to the Sectional Final, you will be able to hear the Fondy boys basketball regional opener at Neenah on Friday on our sister station K107.1-FM.  The Backyard Grill Pregame Show will be at 6:55pm with the tip set for 7pm.The game is presented by Galaxy Lighting and Ellison Electric.

WIAA Individual Wrestling

A large number of area wrestlers are in Madison for the WIAA Individual Wresting Tournament, which begins this afternoon.  Fond du Lac’s Jason Toshner will wrestle in the 170 bracket this afternoon.  Lomira has six wrestlers at state. Laconia has 4, Waupun 3, Campbellsport 2, Chilton-Hilbert 2, and Oakfield has a wrestler at state.
