The Wisconsin Badgers are on
the verge of getting off the bubble and into the NCAA Tournament after a 67-59
win at 8th ranked Iowa
last night.  Bronson Koenig led the way
with 15 points.  Nigel Hayes added
10.  This is the 1st time the
Badgers have knocked off two top 10 teams on the road in the same year since
1955.  The Badgers will host Michigan on Sunday
night.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ.

 

Henry Ellenson scored 22
points and pulled down 10 rebounds as Marquette
stopped Creighton 66-61 last night.  The
Golden Eagles host #1 Villanova on Saturday afternoon. 

 

#1 Villanova went down last
night to #5 Xavier 90-83.

 

Josh Creed scored 16 points
and grabbed 10 rebounds at the Marian men’s basketball team won at Wisconsin
Lutheran 71-65 in the 1st round of the NACC Tournament.  The 5th seeded Sabres will travel
to #1 seed Benedictine on Friday night. 

 

The Bucks are on the road at Boston tonight.  We’ll join that game in progress after high
school basketball.

 

The Marian men’s hockey team
advanced to the semifinals of the Harris Cup Playoffs with a 3-0 win over Concordia, WI
at the Blue Line on Wednesday night.  The
Sabres continue the NCHA playoffs this weekend with a pair of games at St.
Norbert.

 

The Brewers position players
reported to Spring Training on Wednesday and their first workout is set for
today.  The Brewers will play their first
game against UW-Milwaukee next Wednesday and then a week from today split the
squads for matchups with the Giants and Cubs. 
You’ll hear the Giants game on KFIZ next Thursday.

 

The Fond du Lac boys basketball team wraps up
their regular season tonight as they host Kimberly at the Acuity
Fieldhouse.  Coverage begins at 7:05pm
with the tip set for 7:30pm on KFIZ.  The
Cardinals host Green Bay Preble on Tuesday night in their playoff opener.

 

The Winnebago Lutheran boys
basketball team can grab a share of the Flyway Conference championship tonight
if they can beat league leader Omro.  The
Foxes sit at 10-1 on top of the Flyway while WLA is 9-2.  Omro stopped the Vikings 75-64 back on
January 21st.  That game tips
at 7:30pm tonight.
