As expected Aaron Rodgers was limited practice on Wednesday
as the Packers get ready for the Seattle Seahawks and the NFC Championship Game
on Sunday.  You’ll hear the game on
News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.  Coverage begins at
11am with the kickoff set for 2pm.

 

Two more head coaching vacancies have been filled in the
NFL.  The 49ers have stayed in-house and
promoted defensive line coach Jim Tomsula to replace Jim Harbaugh.  The Oakland Raiders have signed up former Jacksonville coach Jack
Del Rio as their head coach.

 

The Bucks and New York Knicks will showcase the NBA in
Europe today as they square off in London.  You’ll hear the game on News-Talk 1450
KFIZ.  Coverage begins at 1:40pm with the
tip set for 2pm.

 

Matt Carlino’s three pointer with 11 seconds left lifted Marquette to a 53-52 win over Creighton last night at the BMO Harris
Bradley Center
.  Carlino finished with 19 points to lift the
Golden Eagles Big East record to 2-2.  Marquette is 10-6 on the
season.   The Golden Eagles head to
Xavier on Saturday.

 

UW-Milwaukee throttled Youngstown State
77-62 on Wednesday night.  Akeem Springs
led four Panthers in double figures with 18. 
The Panthers host Wright
State
on Tuesday.

 

The Badger men’s basketball team hosts Nebraska
tonight at the Kohl
Center
tonight.  They hope to have Frank Kaminsky back after
missing the Rutgers game with a
concussion.  Bronson Koenig will get the
start in place of Traevon Jackson with a broken foot.  Coverage begins at 7pm with the tip set for
8pm on KFIZ.
