The WIAA Board of Controls voted 10-1 to approve a massive
realignment plan for area high school athletic conferences across the eastern
part of Wisconsin.  The changes hit home for Fond du Lac as Menasha will move to the Bay
Conference and Hortonville will come from that league to take the vacant spot
in the FVA.  Ripon and Winneconne will
leave the Eastern Valley and form a new league with Eastern Wisconsin
Conference schools; Campbellsport, Waupun, Kewaskum, and Plymouth
Kettle Moraine Lutheran moves from the Flyway to the new league. Chilton
will also move to the EWC from the Olympian along with Brillion, Roncalli, and
Valders. St. Lawrence Seminary will now be a
considered a full member of the Flyway to fill KML’s spot. They don’t sponsor
football, which leaves the league with just seven football schools and a
scheduling nightmare for teams that draw a late season bye.  The changes won’t take effect until the
2015-2016 season.

Milwaukee Hamilton High School
senior Kevon Looney became just the 5th player in Wisconsin High School
history to be named a McDonalds All-American.
Looney will play college basketball at UCLA.
