Bulls Handle Bucks

The Chicago Bulls took care of the Bucks 104-88 last night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.  Milwaukee trailed by as many as 19 in the 2nd quarter and never got back into the game.  Nate Robinson had 24 and former Marquette Golden Eagle Jimmy Butler had 18 for the Bulls. Brandon Jennings had 15 points before getting ejected in the 4th quarter arguing a foul call.  Sam Dalembert paced the Bucks with 14 points and 13 rebounds.  Larry Sanders missed the game because of illness.

WIAA Board of Controls

The WIAA Board of Controls met on Wednesday and made a few changes to their sports.  The most notable is that they will expand the state soccer tournament from 3 divisions to 4 divisions beginning next fall.  That will cut four teams out of the Division 1 field which now only have 4 teams at state instead of 8.  In football, they officially approved going back to a 9 game season after only playing 8 games this past year.  They also adjusted the so called “mercy rule.”  When a team goes up by 35 points the clock continues to run in the 2nd half but if a team got the margin below 35 it would stop.  The new rule will keep the clock running in the 4th quarter even if a team cuts the deficit below 35.
