The Reds salvaged the final game of the series beating the Brewers 6-2 on Wednesday afternoon at Miller Park.  Johnny Hellweg gave up four runs and four hits in four and a third innings to get hung with the loss for Milwaukee.  Sean Halton homered in the loss for Milwaukee. Ryan Braun sat out the game but is expected to be back in the lineup tonight. The Brewers open up their final series before the All-Star in Arizona tonight.  Yovani Gallardo starts for Milwaukee.  Coverage begins at 8:05pm on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

Hellweg Sent Down

After yesterday’s game the Brewers sent Johnny Hellweg and his 0-3 record down to the minors.  Hellweg gets sent all the way down to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers so he can make another start on his normal five day rotation.  He’s expected to end up at Triple-A Nashville after the All-Star Break.

Bucks

The Bucks appear ready to move on without Brandon Jennings.  Reports say that the team has signed Atlanta point guard Jeff Teague to a four-year, $32 million dollar offer sheet.  Teague is a restricted free agent so the Hawks have 3 days to match.  Last season in Atlanta he averaged 15 points and 7 assists. If Teague ends up in Milwaukee it appears they will let Brandon Jennings leave or work a sign and trade deal.  He is also a restricted free agent.   The Bucks will also get guard Luke Ridnour back via a three team trade with Minnesota and Oklahoma City.  Ridnour played for the Bucks from 2008 to 2010.  The Bucks have also hired former Buck Scott Williams as an assistant coach.

Bynum To Cleveland

Free agent big man Andrew Bynum has decided to sign with Cleveland.  The former LA Lakers center didn’t play a game last year in Philly after being part of the trade that brought Dwight Howard to the Lakers.
