Appleton scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the 7th to steal a 5-4 win over Fond du Lac’s Post 75 baseball team last night.  Josh Ditter was hung with the loss for Post 75.  The U17 squad picked up an 11-1 win over Oshkosh West last night. Sawyer Jones picked up the win for Post 75.

Jake Cronenworth hit a three-run home run with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Bowling Green Hot Rods to a 3-2 victory over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Wednesday night at Bowling Green Ballpark. Game two of the series scheduled for tonight.

The Bucks took a loss in NBA summer league tournament play yesterday, falling 81-64 to Dallas. Rookie first round pick Thon Maker had 17 points, while Ra’Shad James had 15. The Bucks are off today and will play Houston on Friday.

In Golf, the British Open is underway at Royal Troon in Scotland, Patrick Reed was tied for the lead early this morning at minus four. Edgerton’s Steve Stricker was at minus one, while Mequon’s Jordan Niebrugge was at even par.
