Matt Garza gave up three home
runs and seven runs in just 4 and a third innings of work in a 7-4 loss to Washington on Wednesday
afternoon.  Scooter Gennett drove in a
pair for Milwaukee.  The Brewers take today off, then open up a
three game weekend set with the Cardinals at Miller Park
on Friday night.

 

The Brewers made a roster
move on Wednesday, sending pitcher Zach Davies to Triple-A Colorado Springs and
called up first baseman/outfielder Andy Williams.  The Brewers were short a left handed bat off
the bench and Davies won’t pitch for over a week because of the All-Star Break.

 

Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun
needs your votes to make the National League All-Star Team.  You can vote for Braun to get the final NL
roster spot on Tuesday in San Diego

afternoon.  Brewers catcher Jonathan

After 13 seasons and 3 NBA
titles in Miami,
Dwyane Wade is going home.  The former
Marquette Golden Eagle agreed to a two-year, $47 million dollar contract with
his hometown Chicago Bulls on Wednesday. 
To make room for Wade, the Bulls cleared some salary by trading veteran
forward Mike Dunleavy to Cleveland

 

Wade agreed to the deal with
the Bulls after meeting with Bucks ownership in New York
The Bucks will open up Las Vegas Summer League play on Friday against
the Cavs.

 

The Marquette
men’s basketball program has announced that they open their 2016-17 season with
an exhibition game on Monday, November 7th against Division II Rockhurts
University out of Kansas City.
Rockhurts is coached by Fond du Lac
native Drew Diener.  The Golden Eagles
open their regular season on November 11th against Vanderbilt in Annapolis, Maryland
