Khris Davis’
three run homer in the 8th was the cherry on top of the sundae of an
8-3 win over the Orioles on Wednesday night at Miller Park.  The homer was Davis’ 3rd in three days and
helped make a winner out of Yovani Gallardo. 
He gave up 3 runs and struck out five in six and two-thirds to even his
mark at 3-3.  Nelson Cruz hit home runs
#18 and #19 in a losing effort for BaltimoreMilwaukee
takes today off and then opens up a weekend series with the Cubs on Friday
night at Miller Park.

NBA Playoffs

The Indiana
Pacers stayed alive in the Eastern Conference Finals with a 93-90 win over the
Miami Heat on Wednesday night.  Paul
George scored 31 of his 37 in the 2nd half to pace Indiana
Miami
still leads the series 3-2.  Game six is
Friday night in Florida.  The Western Conference Finals shift back to San Antonio tonight with
the Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder all square at 2 games a piece. 

 

NHL

The Chicago
Blackhawks outlasted the LA Kings 5-4 in double-overtime to keep the Western
Conference Finals going on the ice.  The
Kings lead the series 3-2 with Game 6 set for Friday night in Los Angeles
The New York Rangers can earn a spot in the Stanley Cup Finals tonight
if they can beat the Montreal Canadians at Madison Square
Garden
.  The Rangers lead the best of seven series
3-2.

 

Tiger Woods has
announced that he’s still recovering from back surgery and will miss the U.S.
Open next month at Pinehurst.

The Fond du Lac
boys golf team finished 5th at the Regional event at Rolling Meadows on
Wednesday.  Fondy had a team score of
326, which was 3 shots out of 4th, which would have earned the team
a trip to Sectionals.  Cardinal junuor
Marcus Ruch shot an 80 and qualifies for the Sectional as in individual.  Matt Dilling also earned an individual spot
in the Sectional after he and teammate 
Joe Wright had to have a playoff after both shooting 81s.  Jack Negedlo shot an 84 for Fondy.  Neenah
won the Regional.

The Fond du Lac boys tennis team heads to
Neenah today
for the Sectional.  Singles players qualifying
for Fondy include; Kenan Salah, Felix Cloutier, and Matt Tentler.  The doubles team of Stuart Nett and Matt
Riley also will be competing. 

 

We’ve got a
baseball-soccer doubleheader today on KFIZ. 
First the Fond du Lac
baseball team hosts Appleton West at the Fondy Baseball Complex.  Coverage begins at 4:05pm with the Backyard
Grill Pregame Show.  The first pitch is
set for 4:30pm. Then at 7pm the Fond
du Lac
and WLA girls soccer team square off at
7pm.
