The Green Bay
Packers have 9 picks in this weekend’s NFL Draft.  The Packers will pick 21st in
first round will is tonight.   The
Houston Texans have the #1 overall pick. 
It’s rare that the #1 pick is not knows heading into draft day, but
that’s the case today.  If the Texans
keep the pick they are expected to select South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon
Clowney, but they need a quarterback and could trade the pick.

 

The Seattle
Seahawks have made Richard Sherman the highest paid defensive back in the NFL.  He gets a four-year deal worth $57.4 million
dollars.

 

The last place
Diamondbacks beat the Brewers 3-2 on Wednesday afternoon to take 2 of 3 games
from Milwaukee.
Milwaukee has a four game lead over St. Louis in the N.L.
Central. The Brewers take today off and then welcome the New York Yankees to Miller Park
for the first time in 9 years on Friday night.

5th Major, The Players Championship starts today at TPC Sawgrass in Florida.  Tiger Woods won last year’s event but will
not play this year as he recovers from back surgery.  Wisconsin
native’s Jerry Kelly, Mark Wilson, and Steve Stricker are all in the
field.  Adam Scott, Matt Kuchar, Henrik
Stenson, and Bubba Watson could all replace Tiger Woods as the world’s #1
ranked player with good showings this weekend.
