The Packers have begun life without Clay Matthews as they
get ready for their trip to Baltimore
on Sunday.  Matthews will miss about a
month after having surgery on his broken thumb. 
The Green and Gold will also be without inside linebacker Brad Jones who
has also been ruled out for Sunday with a hamstring injury.  Jamari Lattimore will get the start inside
for Jones.  Coverage begins at 10am with
the kickoff set for Noon on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

 

Packers safety Jerron McMillian was fined $15,000 for his hit
on Lions TE Tony Scheffler on Sunday. 
McMillian says he was fined for making contact with Scheffler’s head
with his shoulder pad.  He plans to
appeal.

 

The Bears host the Giants tonight.  You’ll hear it on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.
Coverage begins at 7pm.

 

The Badgers continue to get ready for Northwestern on
Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium.  It’s
Homecoming at Wisconsin.  Coverage begins at 12:30pm with the kickoff
set for 2:30pm on KFIZ.

 

The trend of alternative venues continues in college
football as Tennessee
and Virginia Tech have announced that they will play at Bristol Motor Speedway
in 2016 where 160,000 fans could attend the game.

 

The St. Louis Cardinals advanced to the National League
Championship Series with a 6-1 win over Pittsburgh
in the 5th and deciding game of their National League Division
Series.  Adam Wainwright struck out 5 and
gave up just 8 hits and 1 run to get the complete game victory.  The Cardinals will host the Dodgers in Game 1
of the NLCS on Friday night.  In the American
League its Game 5 as Oakland hosts Detroit.  The winner gets the Red Sox in the ALCS. 

 

Fond du Lac will have four
girls competing in the tennis sectionals today in Neenah
At #1 singles Nicole Feltz has qualified.  At #2 Maddie Bahr will be playing.  The #1 doubles team of Kelli Cole and Anne
Hierl will be playing for a chance to go to state.

 

We’ve got high school football this weekend.  On Friday night, Fond du Lac heads to Menasha.  You’ll hear it on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.  Coverage begins at 5:30pm with the Backyard
Grill Kickoff Show with the kickoff set for 7pm.  The game also streams at kfiz.com.  On Saturday, St. Mary’s Springs heads to
Kettle Moraine Lutheran.  You can hear
that game on K107.1-FM.  The kickoff is
