football team wraps up their regular season tonight as they
head to Wisconsin Rapids.   The 4th ranked Cardinals are 7-1
overall and sit in 2nd place in the VFA-South with a 5-1 league
mark.  Rapids is 1-5 in the conference
and 2-6 overall.  Coverage begins at
6:30pm with the Tim Cruz Agency American Family Insurance Pregame Show.  The kickoff is set for 7pm on News-Talk 1450
KFIZ and kfiz.com.

 

With Fondy playing tonight,
St. Mary’s Springs’ regular season finale at Fruth Field against Kettle Moraine
Lutheran will be on KFIZ.  Coverage
begins at 5:30pm with the Tim Crews Agency American Family Insurance Kickoff
Show.  The game starts at 7pm and it will

Fond du Lac’s Nicole Feltz continues to get ready for her first
round match at the WIAA State Girls Tennis Tournament this morning.  The Fond
du Lac
senior is 26-2 on the season and gets a 13
seed.  She will face off against
sophomore Rina Niehoff of Waukesha South who was a special qualifier with a
10-12 record.  Fetlz’s first match is set
for 10:30am on Thursday morning.

 

The Kansas City Royals are
heading back to the World Series after 2-1 win over Baltimore in the American League Championship
Series.  The Royals complete the 4 game
sweep to win their 8th straight playoff game this year.  KC will host Game 1 of the World Series on
Tuesday night.

 

Buster Posey drove in three
runs as the Giants moved within one game of the World Series with a 6-4 win
over St. Louis
in the National League Championship Series. 
The win gives San Francisco a 3-1 series lead over the Cardinals.  Game 5 of the series is tonight in San Francisco.

 

Week 7 of the NFL season
begins tonight as New England hosts the New
York Jets.  We’ll join that game in
progress after Fondy football tonight on KFIZ.

 

The Packers continue to get
ready for the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at Lambeau.  Green
Bay
is trying to get their starting cornberbacks
healthy.    Sam Shield sat out
Wednesday’s practice with a knee injury while Tramon Williams missed workouts
with an ankle injury.   Sunday’s kickoff
is set for Noon.  Coverage begins at 10am
on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.
