Kyle Lohse was spectacular last night as the Brewers blanked the Braves 4-0 in Atlanta.  Lohse threw just 89 pitches to earn the complete game two-hit shutout.  The win improves him to 11-10 on the season.  Scooter Gennett also scored a couple of runs and had two hits.  The first inning started with some fireworks as Carlos Gomez blasted a home run off of Paul Maholm, which he admired a bit too long.  Gomez got yelled at running around the bases and catcher Brian McCann wouldn’t let him cross home plate causing the benches to clear.  Gomez and Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman were both ejected.  Aramis Ramirez also ended up having to leave the game after he tweaked his knee in the scrum.  The Brewers open up their final series of the season in New York tonight against the Mets.  Coverage begins at 5:35pm on KFIZ.

In the NL Central, St. Louis opened up a three game lead over Pittsburgh with a win at Washington.  The Pirates lost to the Cubs.  The Reds loss to the Mets took them out of the division race despite clinching a Wild Card spot.  The Detroit Tigers clinched the American League Central last night.  In the AL Wild Card race, the Indians and Rays control their own destiny with Texas still in the mix.  The Yankees and Royals were eliminated last night.

The Badger football teams continues to get ready for Ohio State on Saturday night in Columbus.  Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer announced on Tuesday that his team would wear their special rivalry uniforms that include a metallic helmet on Saturday against the Badgers.  Coverage begins at 5pm with the kickoff at 7pm on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

Week 4 of the NFL season kicks off tonight as the Rams host San Francisco.  The Tampa Bucs have benched their QB.  Josh Freeman is out and rookie Mike Glennon is in as they host Arizona on Sunday.  The Packers take the week off.

The United States completed one of the greatest comebacks in sports history, winning the America’s Cup in yachting.  Team USA was down 8 races to 1 and rallied to win the final 8 to retain the cup.
