Boys High School Basketball on the air tonight as Fond du Lac hosts Oshkosh West. Coverage begins just after 7pm with tipoff scheduled for 7:15. Following that, we’ll join Badger basketball in progress as Wisconsin hosts Penn State.

Green Bay 83, Cleveland State 73

The Badger Men’s basketball team climbed two spots in both national polls this week. Wisconsin rose to 15th in the nation in both the USA Today Coaches Poll and the Associated Press Top 25. In the AP Poll, VIllanova and Kansas retain the top two spots, with Gonzaga, Kentucky and Baylor rounding out the top 5. The second five is made up by Florida State, Arizona, UCLA, North Carolina and Oregon. Wisconsin hosts Penn State tonight at the Kohl Center.

Wisconsin sophomore forward Ethan Happ was named co-player of the week by the Big Ten Conference on Monday. Happ shared the honor with James Blackmon Jr. of Indiana. Happ averaged 19.5 points, nine rebounds, 4.5 assists, 3.5 blocks and 1.5 steals per game in helping the Badgers to a home win over Michigan and a road victory in overtime at Minnesota. Happ scored a career-high 28 points in the win over Minnesota. It’s Happ’s first player of the week honor and Wisconsin’s first since Nigel Hayes earned the award on the week of December 5th.

NBA: Milwaukee 127, Houston 114. Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied 31 points, Jabari Parker 28 as the Bucks snapped a five-game losing streak against the Rockets in Milwaukee. The Bucks host Philadelphia Wednesday night.

Packers offensive tackle David Bakhtiari was named to the Pro Bowl roster, replacing Jason Peters of Philadelphia who can’t play due to injury. Bakhtiari is the first Green Bay offensive tackle to be named to the all-star game since Chad Clifton in 2010. It’s his first career trip to the Pro Bowl. He started all 16 games at left tackle during the regular season and was named second-team All-Pro by the Associated Press.
