Jon Lester gave up 1 run and four
hits through seven and two-thirds innings as the Boston Red Sox stopped the
Cardinals 3-1 in Game 5 of the World Series in St. Louis
The win gives the Red Sox a 3-2 series lead and they can close out the
Fall Classic on Wednesday night at Fenway
Park

 

The Packers take today off and will
have an extra day to prepare for the Chicago Bears on Monday night football at
Lambeau Field.  Linebacker Clay Matthews
had the pins removed from his hand on Monday and could be back on the field on
November 10th when Green
Bay
hosts the Eagles.

 

Golden Tate caught a pair of
touchdowns and the Seahawks used a late goal-line stand to St. Louis 14-9 on Monday Night Football.  Week 9 of the NFL season starts on Thursday
night as Miami
hosts the Bengals. 

 

The Badger football team got back
on the practice field on Monday as they get ready for a trip to Iowa City to face the
Hawkeyes on Saturday morning.  Linebacker
Chris Borland is expected to play after injuring his hamstring against Illinois.  Saturday’s game kicks off at 11am.  Coverage begins at 9am on KFIZ.

 

The kickoff time for the Badgers
game on November 9th against BYU at Camp Randall
has been set for 2:30pm.

 

The NBA opens up its season tonight
with three games on the schedule.  The
World Champion Miami Heat host Chicago, the LA
Lakers host the LA Clippers and Orlando travels
to Indiana.  The Bucks season opens up on Wednesday in New York against the
Knicks.
