The Badger men’s basketball team fell in both national polls after a week that saw them go 1-1 with a loss to Michigan on Thursday and a win over Maryland on Sunday. Wisconsin fell five spots in the USA Today Coaches Poll to number 15, and five spots in the Associated Press Top 25, to number 16. In the AP Poll, the top three remains unchanged with Gonzaga, Villanova and Kansas holding down those spots. Rounding out the top five are a pair of Pac-12 teams in Arizona and UCLA. The rest of the top 10 consists of Oregon, Louisville, North Carolina, Baylor and Duke. Wisconsin plays at Ohio State on Thursday.

It was just a formality but Dustin Johnson has reached the top of the world golf rankings for the men. He moved to No.1 after his win at the Genesis Open over the weekend. Johnson tops Jason Day, Rory McIlroy, Henrik Stenson and Hideki Matsuyama Other highly ranked Americans are Jordan Spieth in the sixth spot, Justin Thomas eighth, Rickie Fowler and Bubba Watson 14th and 15th and Phil Mickelson 23rd
