--Nicole Scott led the Orioles with 14 points in the loss. Columbus advances to face Waupun in a sectional semifinal game Thursday night at Beaver Dam.

College Basketball:


Three Men’s Basketball teams from the WIAC have earned bids to the Division 3 NCAA Tournament. UW-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater earned at-large bids to the tournament, which begins Friday. Oshkosh will travel to Hope College in Michigan for action on Friday, while Whitewater will host a regional and play Northwestern-St. Paul of Minnesota in the first round. UW-River Falls, the conference regular season and tournament champion, will host a regional and play Bethel of Minnesota in the first round.


The Ripon College Men’s Basketball team will also compete in the Division 3 Men’s Basketball tournament. The Red Hawks will face Washington University of St. Louis in their first round game, which will be played in Holland, Michigan. The winner will face either UW-Oshkosh or Hope College in the second round. Ripon won the Midwest Conference Tournament to earn the conference’s automatic bid.


Two Women’s Basketball teams from the WIAC accepted bids to the Division 3 NCAA Tournament. UW-Oshkosh earned an at-large bid to the tournament and will host a regional at the Kolf Sports Center in Oshkosh. The Titans will play Calvin College of Michigan in the first round that begins Friday. UW-Whitewater won the conference tournament championship to earn a bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Warhawks will travel to Thomas More College in Kentucky for their regional and face Hope College of Michigan in the first round.


The Badgers continued to fall in both national polls after a week that saw back to back losses to Ohio State and Michigan State. Wisconsin fell six spots to #21 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and six spots to #22 in the Associated Press Top 25. In the AP Poll, Kansas takes over the #1 spot after Gonzaga suffered their first loss of the season Saturday night to BYU. Rounding out the top five are Villanova, UCLA, Gonzaga and North Carolina. The second five includes Oregon, Arizona, Louisville, Kentucky and West Virginia. Wisconsin hosts Iowa on Thursday.


NBA: Cleveland 102, Milwaukee 95

--Malcom Brogdon led Milwaukee with 20 points off the bench as the Bucks lost to the Cavaliers in Cleveland. Giannis Antetokounmpo was held to just nine points on 4-13 shooting in the loss. Milwaukee hosts Denver on Wednesday.


MLB: Milwaukee 5, Texas 0

--Center Fielder Lewis Brinson went 3 for 3 with a double as the Brewers picked up their first Cactus League win of spring training. Milwaukee hosts Kansas City this afternoon.
