The Badgers had one representative on each of the all-Big Ten teams announced by the conference Monday. In the coaches vote, Sophomore Ethan Happ was named first-team all conference, senior Bronson Koenig earned second team all-Big Ten honors, and senior Nigel Hayes was named third team all-Big Ten. Conference coaches also selected Ethan Happ and Zak Showalter to the All-Defensive Team. In the media’s vote, Happ was named first team all-Big Ten with Hayes and Koenig earning third team honors.


Joining Happ as first team all-Big Ten selections were Peter Jok of Iowa, Melo Trimble of Maryland, Nate Mason of Minnesota, and Caleb Swanigan of Purdue. Swanigan was named the Big Ten player of the year and Minnesota’s Richard Pitino the coach of the year.


The Badger Men’s Basketball team fell two spots in both national polls this week -- the final polls for the regular season in college hoops. Wisconsin fell to number 23 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and number 24 in the Associated Press Top 25. In the AP Poll, the top four remains unchanged with Kansas, Villanova, UCLA and Gonzaga remaining in slots one through four. Oregon rounds out the top five with North Carolina, Arizona, Kentucky, Baylor and Louisville rounding out the top 10. Wisconsin next plays on Friday in the Big Ten Tournament, against either Iowa or Indiana.

UW-Milwaukee 74, Illinois-Chicago 68

--The 10th-seeded Panthers advance to tonight’s Horizon League Championship Game against 4th seed Northern Kentucky for a chance to earn the conference’s automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.


Women’s College Basketball:


Big East Tournament (Semifinals):


Marquette 72, Creighton 65

--Marquette will face DePaul for the Big East championship and a spot in the NCAA Tournament tonight.


Horizon League Tournament (Semifinals):


Green Bay 66, Milwaukee 59

--The Phoenix advance to the championship game where they will face Detroit.


NBA: Milwaukee 112, Philadelphia 98

--Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 24 points, Tony Snell added 21 as the Bucks won their third game in a row. Milwaukee hosts the New York Knicks on Wednesday.


MLB: Milwaukee 14, Cleveland 4

--Lucas Erceg went 2 for 2 with two home runs and five RBI as the Brewers blasted Cleveland in Cactus League action on Monday. The Brewers are now 5-5 in spring training, they’re off today before split-squad action on Wednesday.
