The Brewers spoiled the Cardinals home opener with a 5-4 win in St. Louis on Monday afternoon. Carlos Gomez went 2×4 with an RBI and two runs scored.  Matt Garza gave up two runs and six hits in 5 and 2/3innings to even his record at 1-1 on the season.  Francisco Rodriguez pitched the 9th for his 1st save of the season. The Brewers and Cardinals take today off and then continue their series on Wednesday night.


The Bucks scratched out a 107-97 win at Philadelphia on Monday night to improve to 41-40 on the season.  Michael Carter-Williams scored 30 points in his return to Philadelphia after being traded from the 76ers earlier this season.  The teams combined to shoot 70 free throws in the game.  Milwaukee wraps up the regular season on Wednesday when they host Boston.


The Big Ten Conference announced that the Badger football team’s final non-conference game against Hawaii on Saturday, September 26th will be broadcast in primetime on Big Ten Network.  The exact kickoff time will be announced later.


Packers GM Ted Thompson decided to match the offers sheet that safety Sean Richardson had signed with Oakland.  The one year deal is reported to be worth $2.55 million dollars.


Multiple reports also says the Packers have agreed to a one-year contract with fullback John Kuhn.  2015 will be Kuhn’s 9th in Green Bay.


St. Mary’s Springs Academy senior Kelli Schrauth announced on Monday that she would play college basketball at Cardinal Stritch University.  Schrauth is the Ledgers all-time leading scorer.  She averaged 17 points and 8 rebounds as a senior to lead St. Mary’s Springs to their 2nd straight WIAA State Tournament appearance.


Sheboygan Falls won the Eastern Wisconsin Conference Golf Meet at The Bull on Monday.  Waupun was 2nd
