A sacrifice fly by Gordon Beckham in the 12th inning scored Matt Kemp and lifted the Braves to a 4-3 win over the Brewers on Monday night. Down 3-1 entering the 5th inning, a two run home run by Martin Maldonado tied the game a 3, until Beckham’s sac fly in the 9th. The Packers return to the practice field tonight to begin preparation for their preseason opener Friday night at home against Cleveland.The team will practice under the lights at Ray NItschke FIeld tonight at 6:15, before holding practice at 11:45 am on Wednesday. The game against the Browns is Friday, 5pm pregame, 7pm kickoff on News/Talk 1450 KFIZ.

The Wisconsin football team opened their fall camp yesterday. Running Back Corey Clement says it’s great to be healthy and back with the team. One of the battles to watch is the one between Alex Hornibrook and Bart Houston for the starting quarterback job. The Badgers will open their season Saturday, September 3td at Lambeau Field against the LSU Tigers.

The matchups have been known for a while, but the start times and networks for the Big Ten/ACC Challenge were announced on Monday. Wisconsin will host Syracuse at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, November 29th. The game will be broadcast on ESPN. The annual tournament runs Monday, November 28th through Wednesday, November 30th. The Big Ten captured the Commissioner’s Cup in 2015 and 2014, winning eight of the 14 matchups both years. The two conferences split the previous two events, winning six Challenge games each in 2012 and 2013. The ACC won the first 10 Challenges (1999-2008), while the Big Ten won the next three (2009-2011).
