Sports – Tuesday, February 2nd, 2016

The
Sacrament Kings stopped the Bucks 111-104 last night out west.  Rudy Gay chipped in 32 points and 9 rebounds
as the Kings played without DeMarcus Cousins. 
Greg Monroe had 24 points and 12 rebounds to pace the Bucks.  The Bucks are in Portland tonight.  Coverage begins at 8:40pm on KFIZ.

 

Marquette’s Henry Ellenson and Wisconsin’s
Ethan Happ continue to get honored by their respective leagues.  Ellenson was named The Big East Newcomer of
the Week while Happ was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week. 

 

The University of Wisconsin officially introduced Justin
Wilcox as their new defensive coordinator on Monday.  Wilcox was at USC with in the same position
for the last two seasons.  He also had
stops as DC at Boise State, Tennessee,
and Washington State.  He replaces Dave Aranda who left to take the
same job at LSU.

 

Super Bowl
50’s week has official started in the San Francisco Bay Area with Super Bowl
Opening Night.  The NFL moved what was
traditionally known as “Media Day” to primetime.  You’ll hear Super Bowl 50 on News-Talk 1450
KFIZ as Carolina takes on Denver on Sunday night.
