The Packers take today off
and then get going on the practice field on Wednesday in preparations for
Sunday’s NFC Division Round playoff game. 
Aaron Rodgers isn’t expected to practice until at least Thursday as he battles
a calf injury. Sunday’s game kicks off at Noon.

UW-Green Bay took
down Wright State
79-55 in their Horizon League opener on Monday night at the Resch Center.  Kiefer Sykes scored 28.

 

Edgewood beat the Marian men
65-54 last night in Madison.
Josh Creed led Marian with 15 points. The Sabres have dropped five
straight.  Marian heads to Rockford on Saturday.

 

UW-Fox Valley stopped UW-Fond du Lac 77-70 last night in men’s
college hoops.  Moe Crane had 18 to pace
the Falcons.  UWFDL is 5-6 overall and
2-3 in league play.

 

The Marquette
men’s basketball team travels to Georgetown
tonight for a Big East matchup. The tip is set for 6pm, central.

 

Wisconsin holds steady at #4 in both college basketball polls
this week.  Kentucky is #1, followed by Duke and
Virginia in both the AP and the Coaches polls. 
The Badgers host Purdue on Wednesday night.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ.  Coverage begins at 5pm on Wednesday night
with the tip set for 6pm.

 

The Bucks are back in action
tonight as they host Phoenix at the BMO Harris
Bradley Center
.  The tip is set for 7pm.   The Bucks aren’t sure if big man Larry
Sanders will play tonight.  Sanders
hasn’t been with the team since late last week. 
Reports surfaced yesterday that Sanders told the team he didn’t want to
play basketball anymore. Sanders is in the first year of a 4-year, $44 million
dollar contract extension.  Rookie Jabari
Parker had surgery on his left knee on Monday to repair his torn ACL. The team
hopes he’ll be ready for next season.
