14-Jan-2014

Bo Ryan’s Badger men’s basketball team has their toughest road test of the season tonight as they head to Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana.  UW has moved up to #3 in both college basketball polls this week.  The tip tonight is set for 6pm.

The Bucks have lost six straight games after getting hammered by Toronto 116-94 in Canada.  Ersan Ilyasova led Milwaukee with a season high 29 points and 9 rebounds. The Bucks host Minnesota on Wednesday night.

What could turn out to be good news for Packers, Ken Whisenhunt has decided to turn down an offer to become head coach of the Detroit Lions and take the head job in Tennessee.  Whisenhunt is one of the better coaches on the market and could have done wonders with the Detroit offense. He had been San Diego’s offensive coordinator after a six year stint as the head coach at Arizona, which included a Super Bowl appearance.

The Lomira boys basketball team hung with 9th ranked Columbus last night before falling 44-38 on the road.  Nick Steger led the Lions with 20 points in a game that was broadcast on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ..  Lomira heads to Kettle Moraine Lutheran on Thursday night.

We’ve got high school basketball tonight on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ if Mother Nature cooperates as the Fond du Lac boys are set to travel to Appleton East.  Coverage is set for 7:05pm with the Backyard Grill Pregame Show. The tip is set for 7:30pm and it streams at kfiz.com.
