The Packers cleaned out their lockers on Monday and said
goodbye to the 2013 season.  Green Bay will have 15
unrestricted free agents to deal with this off-season including James Jones,
Sam Shields, Mike Neal, John Kuhn, BJ Raji, and Jermichael Finley.

 

Florida State won the BCS National Championship in a game for
the ages stopping Auburn 34-31.  Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston threw a 2
yard TD pass with :13 seconds left giving the Seminoles the final college title
in the BCS era.  Auburn jumped o to a 21-3 lead only to see
FSU battle back.  The game featured 3
lead changes in the final 4:31.  FSU’s
final drive started with just :79 seconds left in the game.  The win ends the SEC’s seven year streak of
winning the national title.  Next year
they will hold a four-team playoff to determine a champion. 

 

The final rankings for both the AP and Coaches Poll have Florida State
#1, followed by Auburn, Michigan
State, South Carolina, and Missouri
Wisconsin
is #22 in the Coaches Poll and #21 in the AP Poll.

 

Arizona, Syracuse
and Ohio State are 1, 2, 3 in both college
basketball polls.  Wisconsin
is #4 in the AP Poll and tied for 4th with Michigan State
in the Coaches Poll.  The Badgers host Illinois on Wednesday.

 

The Bucks host Golden
State tonight at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ. Coverage begins at
6:40pm with the tip set for 7pm.

 

A trade in the NBA saw Cleveland
send center Andrew Bynum and three draft picks to the Bulls for Luol Dang.  The Bulls plan on cutting Bynum to clear
salary cap space.

 

 

For the 2nd straight day Mother Nature has froze
out all prep action tonight putting area athletic directors to work by
rescheduling a boat load of games.
