The Major League Baseball All-Star game is tonight in San Diego. Brewers Catcher Jonathan Lucroy is the team’s lone representative in the mid-summer classic, it’s Lucroy’s second all-star selection.  Brewers off until Friday, begin the 2nd half with a series in Cincinnati. 5:35 pregame on KFIZ.

Giancarlo Stanton of the Miami Marlins won the annual home run derby in San Diego last night. Stanton outdueled Todd Frazier of the White Sox 20-13 in the final round. Stanton set a record with 61 total home runs in last night’s derby. It was the first year with its new tournament style format.

The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers bested the Peoria Chiefs 5-3 at Neuroscience Group FIeld at Fox Cities Stadium Monday afternoon. Troy Stokes Jr. homered and drove in three runs in the win for the Rattlers, who are off today. They open a series against Bowling Green Wednesday.



The Milwaukee Bucks fell in summer league action to the Memphis Grizzlies 85-81 Monday afternoon. Terran Petteway led the team with 21 points, Rashad Vaughn had 16, Rookie Malcom Brogdon had 15, while Rookie Thon Maker had 10 points. The Bucks are now 1-2 in summer league play.

Wisconsin Women’s Basketball coach Jonathan Tsipis has completed his coaching staff. He announced the hiring of Craig Carter to his staff Monday afternoon. Carter will join Sasha Palmer and Myla McCurdy on the Badger bench this year.
