The Brewers welcome the Chicago Cubs to Miller Park for a three game series starting tonight.  Kyle Lohse gets the start for Milwaukee while Edwin Jackson takes the mound for the Cubs.  The Brewers and Cubs share the NL Central cellar with 31-43 records.  Coverage begins at 6:35pm tonight on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.


Bishop to Vikes

Yet another Green Bay Packer castoff has gone west to Minnesota.  Linebacker Desmond Bishop has signed a one year deal with the Vikings worth about $1.5 million dollars.  Bishop had spent his entire five year NFL career in Green Bay and was in the middle of a four year, $19 million dollar contract when he was cut on June 17th


Stanley Cup Finals

The Chicago Blackhawks hoisted the Stanley Cup for the 2nd time in four years with a stunning 3-2 win over the Boston Bruins last night in Game Six of the Stanley Cup Finals.  The Blackhawks score two goals :17 seconds apart late in the third period with the game winner coming with :59 seconds left in regulation. Chicago wins the best of seven series 4 games to 2. 


Wimbledon Upset

Rafael Nadal was one and done at Wimbledon, losing his first round match is straight sets to Steve Darcis of Belgium.  The two time champ had been on a 22 match win streak before the upset.  Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Maria Sharapova all advanced with wins on Monday.


Heat Celebrate

The Miami Heat celebrated their 2nd straight NBA title with parade and ceremony on Monday.   LeBron James told the fans wings two titles was great and he appreciated their support.  The title was the third in franchise history


NBA Draft

The Milwaukee Bucks will hold their final pre-draft workouts today.  The Bucks have the 15th and 43rd pick in Thursday night’s draft.  Marquette’s Vander Blue left school early to enter the draft.  The experts aren’t sure where or if he’ll get drafted. 


Nuggets Hire Shaw

The Denver Nuggets have hired Brian Shaw as their new head coach.  He replaces George Karl who was let go after the Nuggets early playoff exit.
