Bulaga Out For Season

The Packers have placed right tackle Brian Bulaga on season ending Injured Reserve with a hip injury.  The 3rd year pro from Iowa was hurt in the Arizona game before the bye.  With Bulaga out, TJ Lang will move to right tackle and Evan Dietrich-Smith will be slotted at left guard.  The only healthy reserved linemen on the roster right now are undrafted rookies Don Barclay and Greg Van Roten.  Former first round pick Derek Sherrod just began practicing this week as he recovers from a broken leg suffered last season.

So’oto Back

The Packers filled Bulaga’s spot on the roster by re-signing linebacker Vic So’oto.  It appears that Clay Matthews will miss at least this weekend’s game in Detroit so the Packers will be looking for more depth at linebacker with So’oto and also Frank Zombo who was just added to the active roster before the bye.
