The Houston
Texans handed the Cincinnati Bengals their first loss of the season last night
with a 10-6 win on Monday Night Football. 
Backup QB TJ Yates threw the game winning TD pass early in the 4^th
quarter.

 

The Denver Broncos
will sit quarterback Peyton Manning next week against the Bears because of a
partially torn plantar fascia.

 

The Packers take
today off before hitting the practice field again on Wednesday trying to figure
out how to snap a 3 game losing skid when they travel to NFC North leader
Minnesota on Sunday.  That kickoff time
has been flexed to 3:15pm.

 

Marquette needed overtime to beat IUPUI 75-71 at BMO Harris Bradley Center
on Monday Night.  Freshman Henry Ellenson
led the way with 18 points while Luke Fischer had 17 points and 10 rebounds.

UW-Green Bay got beat by East Tennessee State this morning 103-90 as part of ESPN’s Tip off Marathon. 

 

The Badger men’s
basketball team hosts North Dakota tonight at the Kohl Center.  Coverage begins at 6pm with the tip set for
7pm on KFIZ.

 

Milwaukee is on the road at 18^th ranked
Notre Dame.   

 

The Bucks are on
the road tonight at Washington.  Milwaukee
is 5-5 on this young season.  The tip set
for 6pm central.  Jabari Parker didn’t
make the road trip as he battles a right foot injury.

 

The girls high
school basketball season tips off tonight across the state of Wisconsin.  
The Fond du Lac
girls are at home tonight against Beaver Dam. 
WLA is on the road at Valders while St. Mary’s Springs goes to New
Holstein.

Three Fond du Lac high school
football players received all-state honors from the Wisconsin Football Coaches
Association on Monday.  Running back
Justin Maratik, offensive lineman Brett Vandenboogaard, and defensive back Jake
Walgenbach received Honorable Mention honors.  New Holstein defensive
lineman Tyler Stadler also garnered Honorable Mention all-state status.

 

The St. Mary’s Springs football team will defend their WIAA
Division Six State Championship on Thursday as they play Darlington Camp
Randall Stadium.  It’s a rematch of last
year’s title game that saw the Ledgers win 37-28. Thursday’s game kicks off at
1pm and you’ll hear it at KFIZ.   You can
buy your tickets in advance for the title game at the St. Mary’s Springs office
through Wednesday.
