There will be a change to the annual battle for Paul Bunyan’s
Ax when the Badgers and Minnesota matchup up
at Camp Randall on Saturday.  After an ugly incident last year in Minnesota
where the Gophers wouldn’t let the Badgers do the traditional chopping down of
the goal posts and law enforcement got involved on the field, Badger coach Gary
Andersen announced that the ax would no longer be behind the team’s bench for
the other team to grab after the game.
Instead it will be brought out at the end of the game for the winning
team.  Saturday’s kickoff is set for
2:30pm on KFIZ.
