The playing future of Packers tight end Jermichael Finley is still up in the air, but it looks like life goes on.  Finley tweeted out yesterday that he was discharged from the intensive care unit of the hospital and was able to get out of bed and walk to the shower.  Finley also thanked family, friends, and teammates for the support.  Reports say that Finley bruised his spinal cord on the 2nd half hit he took on Sunday.

The Packers aren’t the only team dealing with injuries.  The Bears will be without QB Jay Cutler for at least a month after he tore his groin in Sunday’s loss to Washington.  Their best defensive player Lance Briggs will also miss at least 6 weeks with a shoulder injury.  Rams QB Sam Bradford and Colts WR Reggie Wayne are both lost for the season with torn ACLs.  Tampa Bay may be without Doug Martin for the rest of the season because of a knee injury as well.

The New York Giants picked up their first win of the season with a 23-7 win over the Vikings on Monday Night Football.  The Giants defense held Adrian Peterson to just 28 yards on 13 carries.  The Vikings will host the Packers on Sunday Night Football next weekend.  Week 8 of the NFL season begins on Thursday night as Tampa Bay hosts Carolina.

The Brewers have resigned infielder Taylor Green to a minor league contract with an invite to the Major League Camp.  The Reds will promote pitching coach Bryan Price as their new manager, replacing Dusty Baker.  Tigers Manager Jim Leyland announced he won’t return to the team in 2014.  During his 8 seasons in Motown he won three division titles and two American League pennants.

The Bulls crushed the Bucks 105-84 on Monday night in Chicago.  Derrick Rose scored 24 points in 27 minutes for the Bulls.  Gary Neal led the Bucks with 14 points. The Bucks play the New York Knicks on Wednesday night at the Resch Center in Green Bay.

Marquette freshman guard Duane Wilson will miss multiple weeks with what is called a stress fracture in his left leg.  The former Whitefish Bay Dominican star was a top 100 recruit nationally.
